For this version, titanium gives this Chris King headset something unique. It is stronger (both harder and stiffer) and less chemically reactive than the other metals you find in bicycle components. Like all King’s headsets, the titanium NoThreadSet™ features King’s patented GripLock® bearing cap that preloads the headset independently of clamping onto the steerer, so it retains preload far better than some other headset designs
